Overview

Clean Copy is built around strict privacy. The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data.

How content is handled

When you trigger a copy action, the extension reads the content of the web page — or the text you highlighted — and processes it entirely on your own device. The result is placed on your clipboard. This content is never sent to any server: not to the developer, and not to any third party.

Permissions we use

• activeTab & scripting — to read and clean the content of the page you're on, only when you actively click the button, menu item, or shortcut.
• clipboardWrite — to place the cleaned content on your clipboard.
• contextMenus — to add the “Clean Copy” entry to your right-click menu.
• storage — to remember your last chosen copy format.

These permissions are used only for the purposes above.

Data sharing

None. Clean Copy has no analytics, no tracking, and no external servers. Because nothing is collected, nothing can be shared or sold.
